I'm quick at posting this month, aren't I?
You know I am absolutely Sherlock obsessed. Seriously, I'm pretty much a Sherlock maniac. Ask my friends. So I follow the brilliant website Sherlockology on Twitter and Facebook. A while ago they posted the link to this website and promoted a short film named "Chasing Cotards" with the amazing Andrew Scott who played James Moriarty in Sherlock.
So I paid the 1,80€ and watched it. I watched it and I cried. This short film is of such magnificent beauty that you don't really how to feel. So please, don't be grasping, spend this ridiculously small amount of money and witness this indescribable beauty. You won't regret it. Promise.

sometimes i sing

You may know that sometimes I dance. For a few years now in my Musical group, ballet and through our living room. What you may not know, is that I also sing! I have a band with a few friends and we cover nice songs.
Well, we rehearsed again last week and decided to film some of our acoustic songs. And here they are. I have to say that it was really spontaneous, that's why I look like crap in my huge Dublin hoodie, without any make up and with weird hair.
As I am never satisfied with what I do, I don't like my singing in these but I really, really hope that you like it, though. Please tell me what you think!

Ihr wisst vielleicht, dass ich manchmal tanze. Seit ein paar Jahren in meinem Musical Verein, Ballett und durch unser Wohnzimmer. Was ihr vielleicht nicht wisst, ist dass ich außerdem singe! Ich habe eine Band mit ein paar Freunden und wir covern schöne Lieder.
Letzte Woche hatten wir wieder Probe und haben und spontan dazu entschieden, ein paar unserer Akustiksongs zu filmen. Und hier sind sie. Ich muss sagen, es war sehr spontan und deshalb sehe ich auch so vergammelt aus, mit meinem Dublin Pulli, ohne Make-Up und mit komischen Haaren.
Da ich ja niemals mit dem, was ich tue, zufrieden bin, mag ich mein Gesinge hier auch nicht, aber ich hoffe sehr, dass es euch gefällt. Bitte sagt mir, was ihr denkt!

So this is 2011, right? It has been a wonderful year with a whole lot of big changes in my life. 2012 is promising to be even better, for I'm planning on visiting 3 of the biggest cities in the world: Paris, London (for the first time! anyone up for a little meeting?), New York. Karl and I may finally find a flat and live together and I'll be in the middle of my studies at Uni Siegen. Sounds quite exciting, doesn't it?

I got some really really lovely christmas presents and I love them so much that I just have to show them to you!

This is what Karl got me. I freaked out. It's the whole Harry Potter series on Blu-Ray in this most awesome wooden box with the Eldar wand on top. There were only 4000 of them and Karl really got one.

This is what my parents got me. A pretty, golden Fossil watch. I love it and I think it suits me so well. I feel twice as pretty when ever I wear it.

This is what my godfather, his wife and his daughter, who's at the same time my goddaughter's mum, got me. The Harry Potter books in English! Hardcover and in a pretty box. Now I can finally read them how they were originally written. I only owned them in German so far.

And these books I got from Karls family. It's "The Vintage Tea Party Book" (if you read the most wonderful WishWishWish, you know it), "Der perfekte Kleiderschrank" (translated: The perfect closet) by Nina Garcia, a Cupcake Decoration Set and a Cupcake recipe book (you cannot see it, sorry).

And my sister got my a lovely make-up bag, a necklace and a sculpture named "The Dancer". I didn't take photos of these ones. I actually don't know why. Maybe I will later on. We'll see.

I promised you a new post and here it is!
A market like me is a weird title, I know. But I just wanted to show you some picture of the Katharinenmarkt. A market in a little town near me which has my name. ;) When I was a child I actually did think that it was named after me. You can get pretty much everything there. Really everything.

There are some big changes coming here. And friend and I are complete redesigning my blog (I know. For the 1823489348634628th time... but I'm still not satisfied. You know, I'm a perfectionist.) and these changes are actually so big that I am thinking about creating a completely new blog!
Now my question for you is... What would you prefer? A totally new thing? Would you follow me over to a new blog? Or should I keep this one, just completely different? I don't know what I'll do yet. Maybe I'll listen to you. ;)

Ich habe euch einen neuen Post versprochen und hier ist er!
Ein Markt wie ich ist ein seltsamer Titel, ich weiß. Aber ich wollte euch ein paar Bilder vom Katharinenmarkt zeigen. Ein Markt in einer kleinen Stadt hier in der Nähe, der meinen Namen trägt! ;) Als ich ich ein Kind war dachte ich wirklich, dass er nach mir benannt ist. Jedenfalls kriegt man dort alles. Wirklich alles.

Es wird hier bald große Veränderungen geben. Eine Freundin und ich designen meinen Blog komplett neu (Ich weiß. Zum 1823489348634628ten Mal... aber ich bin immer noch nicht zufrieden. Ihr müsst wissen, ich bin eine Perfektionistin.) und diese Veränderungen sind so groß, dass ich darüber nachdenke, einen komplett neuen Blog zu eröffnen!
Meine Frage an euch ist nun... Was wäre euch lieber? Etwas ganz neues? Würdet ihr mir zu einem neuen Blog folgen? Oder sollte ich diesen behalten, nur völlig anders? Ich weiß noch nicht, was ich machen soll. Vielleicht höre ich ja sogar auf euch. ;)

Well, hello! Here are three things I wanted to show you.

1. My gorgeous new frankie Diary 2012! It was in the mail today. Hooray! I was too late to get one for 2011, so when I got the email that the 2012 Diary is ready to pre-order, I just had to do that immediately. I'm so glad I'll have frankie loveliness every single day next year.

2. My wonderful steampunk style necklace. A friend of mine made it especially for me, so it's very unique! I actually have it for a few weeks now I wore it almost every day. It's absolutely lovely! You can order one, too. Just write here an email with what exactly you want to: Lanue@ymail.com. I am sure she can do it for you. A necklace with a clock like mine is for €25. And check out her deviantART gallery, too. She has some more of her Steampunk Jewellery listed there.

3. My pretty new purse. My beloved old Louis Vuitton is really really wonderful, I know. But it's too small. It was bursting, really. So I got myself this nice one by Fossil.

Yes, what you see there inside my new purse, that white and blue little piece of paper, is my student ID. I got accepted at the University of Siegen! Siegen is a little town about an hour away from where I live. It's where we play our musical in a month, too!

My course is called Literature, Culture, Media Studies and I chose the the linguistic main focus English and German. Everything starts in three weeks and I am already very excited about it. Some of my best friends study there, too, so I won't be totally lost the first weeks.

I have to go now, my second ballet lesson is waiting for me! :)

Well, I'm back from Holland and it was wonderful. I actually didn't take that much photos because the beach was very crowded most of the time and the inside of our house was so messy that I didn't dare taking pictures of it, haha. I had a great time, even though the weather could have been better. We actually were quite an attraction on the beach for the guys digged a 3m deep hole on the first day (no kidding. they had a hard time getting out of it) or tried to build a island. Yes, they are insane but that's exactly why I love my nerdy friends.

Ich bin zurück aus Holland und es war wundervoll. Ich hab gar nicht so viele Fotos gemacht, weil am Strand meistens mega viel los war und im Haus so ein Chaos herrschte, dass ich davon keine Bilder machen wollte! Ich hatte wirklich eine großartige Zeit, auch wenn das Wetter hätte besser sein können. Wir waren am Strand immer eine Attraktion, weil die Jungs am ersten Tag ein 3m tiefes Loch gebuddelt haben (Kein Scherz. Sie kamen fast nicht mehr raus) oder versucht haben, eine Insel aufzuschütten. Ja, sie haben den Verstand verloren aber genau deshalb liebe ich meine nerdigen Freunde.

It's time again. Tomorrow I'm going with some friends to Holland for a few days. I am so looking forward to chilling on the beach and reading a good book (Currently "American Gods" by Neil Gaiman. It's amazing).

By the way, I just recently discovered "Sherlock" and it blew me away. I cannot stop talking about it and I love the fact that the websites like Watsons Blog really exist. With comments and all. The orchestration (is that a word?) is awesome. The characters are great and the actors who play them are just perfect. I am in love with this amazing series and yes, I know, I'm late, haha.

Es wird mal wieder Zeit. Morgen fahre ich mit ein paar Freunden für ein paar Tage nach Holland. Ich freue mich schon so sehr darauf, am Strand zu gammeln und ein gutes Buch zu lesen (Aktuell "American Gods" von Neil Gaiman. Es ist unglaublich.)

Ich habe übrigens neulich die Serie "Sherlock" entdeckt und bin hin und weg. Das hat mich völlig umgehauen. Ich kann einfach nicht aufhören, davon zu sprechen (nicht wahr, Janica?) und ich liebe die Tatsache, dass die Websites wie Watsons Blog wirklich existieren. Mit Kommentaren und allem drum und dran. Herrlich inszeniert. Die Charaktere sind großartig und die Schauspieler sind auch einfach perfekt. Ich liebe diese großartige Serie.

what a delicious day

I spent yesterday with Sina (We're friends since kindergarden. Did I ever tell you about her?) in Cologne! It was really really wonderful, even though I spent too much money. We drank too much coffee (damn you, adorable Starbucks!) and did not eat enough but nevertheless, it was really nice day. We strolled around a few shops like Accessorize, H&M and more but our main goals were a cute little café named Royal Cupcakes where you can eat the most delicious cupcakes in the whole world and an also cute little shop called Törtchen Törtchen where you can buy those adorable macarons! I know, they're not Ladurée but still, they're wonderful. If you live in or near Cologne I highly recommend you to visit those places. I bought some nice things. You can see them on a picture further down.

Gestern war ich mit Sina (Wir sind Freunde seit dem Kindergarten. Hab ich euch je von ihr erzählt?) in Köln! Es war ganz wundervoll, auch wenn ich zu viel Geld ausgegeben habe. Wir haben viel zu viel Kaffee getrunken (Sei verflucht, Starbucks!) und dabei zu wenig gegessen aber nichtsdestotrotz war es ein sehr schöner Tag. Wir sind durch einige Geschäfte gestromert, aber unsere Hauptziele waren ein süßes kleines Café mit dem Namen Royal Cupcakes, wo man einfach die besten Cupcakes der Welt essen kann, und ein süßer kleiner Laden namens Törtchen Törtchen, wo man diese fabelhaften Macarons kaufen kann! Ich weiß, sie sind nicht von Ladurée aber trotzdem wundervoll. Wenn ihr in oder nahe Köln wohnt, geht da mal hin! Das empfehle ich euch wärmstestestens. Ich hab auch ein paar nette Dinge erstanden. There they finally are. The photos of Karl and me in our Prom outfits. I still don't have all the photos but I was tired of waiting and decided to post the photos I have!

The dress I'm wearing is from ModCloth. I absolutely love their shop and I was so glad that I finally(using that word a lot in this post, haha) had a reason to order something. I also got my shoes from there which you unfortunately cannot see on the pictures. I love this dress. I want to wear it again but there is no occasion coming up. So sad!

In two weeks I'll finally know where I'll go to university. I'm sick and tired of waiting and doing nothing! Besides that, Karl and I are looking for a flat or little house which turned out to be way more difficult than we expected. We cannot find anything. Well, you see, these months are pretty live changing! I'll keep you updated.

it's all over now

I'm the Harry Potter Generation. I grew up with the books and later the movies and like that I grew up with Harry, Ron, Hermione and all the other characters. Harry Potter was a huge part of my childhood. And now it's over. Yesterday night I watched the very last movie, Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2. The movie was absolutely brilliant and I needed quite a lot of tissues (I cried for about 45 minutes and just couldn't stop).

It sounds corny and way too sentimental but with the end of this last movie it felt like a really big part of my childhood came to an end.

Hogwarts was the one and only school I always desired to go to!

finally

There it finally is. My iPhone 4, which I desired for more than a year (do you remember?). It was quite a drama to get it. I had a little intermezzo with a HTC Sensation which actually was a really nice and pretty phone but 1. it didn't work properly and 2. I am and forever will be a huge Apple fan. Another thing was that I'm using a MacBook and there is no sync program for Mac that works with Android. So I went to our local Telekom store and got myself this shiny new iPhone 4. I used a 3GS before, so it's not really that new.

And of course I want to protect my new Baby. That's why I ordered that cute pink bumper from Malumpera.de. They have pretty nice stuff for iPhones and iPads. So if you use any of that, stop by and take a look!

And now about my blog. You see, I have a new template but I'm actually not really satisfied yet.. I just have the problem that I have NO IDEA how to get my old one back. I guess, my lovely Karl needs to help me out with that.

Another thing. My beautiful friend Tenni just started a new blog. Take a look!

Doing nothing is really starting to piss me off. I applied to some universities and now I have to wait for their response. It really sucks because I just want to know what directions my life takes.

We'll see.

A little while ago I annoyed my cat again and these photos are some of the ones I took. She's my favorite model, haha.

Another thing. Guys, I need your help. My blog definitely needs a make over. I'm thinking about a new look and maybe a new hoster. I have no idea how to achieve that, so... Do you have any tips? Maybe a nice hoster? Or maybe you want to tell me what you dislike about my Blog!

Sorry for the long absence again... I have a huge lack of time and inspiration for blogging. Maybe I'll find my muse again in April. We'll see!

Since yesterday I am officially finished with school. I had my verbal exam (which was nothing but a mess). Wow. That was so awkward. But the good thing is that we're gonna party the next four days! Tonight, tomorrow, Friday... And Saturday is PROM! I'll show you some nice pictures of my outfit and Karl, who looks more than ever like my prince in his suit.

i just got a package

I came from My-Wardrobe... And guess what's inside it? Right. The Mulberry Alexa!! Can you guess how happy I am? My parents got it for my because I passed my Abitur. My Mum fell in love with this gorgeous little leather thing, too, and got herself the Mini version of the Alexa which is very cute. And it would look so good with my prom outfit...

By the way, the card says: "Congratulations! I'm yours now.".

And yesterday my Mum and I went to Mainz to do a little shopping (I'll soon show you my finds...) and to catch up my Dad from the airport in Frankfurt.

It's a wonderful week.

Well, what you do not see on the picture above is that I'm wearing my new ABI Hoodie. That is because I was told yesterday that I do not need more points in the verbal exam to pass my Abitur which means... I GOT IT! Tomorrow's my very last day in my school and tonight we're gonna celebrate. Isn't that just awesome?

Currently I am so in love with Glee. You could really say, I am a major Gleek.

Well, and in the latest episode they perform "Sing" by My Chemical Romance. And that performance was so intense, it sent shivers down my spine! I actually never noticed that song being so awesome before, but now I just cannot stop watching it performed by the Glee Kids I love. Listen to the lyrics. They're great.

I just got two wonderful new books!

First: "Mach diese Buch fertig". It's the German version of "Wreck This Journal". And I totally love it. It's sometimes not that easy... Treating a book like this is kind of hard but still: so much fun! I already love it.

I'll show you the result when I totally wrecked it! ;)

The other one is a weekly diary of "Listography". You make a list every week. Like "List the places you like to visit", "List you summer to do's", "List ten people you find fascinating" etc. It'll be so much fun! And when 2011 is over, I'll have my whole year in lists! Don't you think that's wonderful?

And besides that wonderful fact, the layout is very cute. So it's not only a great way to be creative, it's also pretty to look at!

I spent a wonderful weekend in Mainz with Karl and my parents.

We had breakfast today in the "Heiliggeist" and I just have to tell you about it! It used to be a church but they made it a restaurant/bar/café. The atmosphere inside is simply wonderful and the food tastes really delicious! If you happen to visit Mainz one day I highly recommend you to go there!

Just trying out this wonderful program Toy Camera...

The first picture shows my Daddy's old camera equipment. Isn't it crazy? The camera is a Canon AE-1 (people say it's the best Canon camera ever). He's got everything. Tons of filters, a fish eye lens, a macro lens, a 1:1 lens... Everything! He showed me some of his old photos... I have to say, I am completely impressed by his unbelievable talent. Unfortunately I don't have a scanner or something to show you his work. Maybe I'll find a way to digitalize them!

The other two pictures are just me looking like crap. This whole graduation thing really drives me insane.

It's a magazine about everything I love. Fashion, Music, Art, Culture as a whole... and many things more. They describe themselves as "an australian magazine that’s as smart, funny, sarcastic, friendly, cute, rude, arty, curious and caring as you are."

Their layout is simply lovely and I can tell you one thing: I have completely fallen in love with frankie magazine.

I think I will order it to Germany so I can really hold in in my hands, rummage a little bit in it...

A sad thing is that I was too late to order their wonderful frankie diary 2011 which would actually be the perfect daily journal for me! Well, shit happens, right?

And than it happens. You are ADDICTED. So, do you know this?

I feel like that about A Perfect Circle. About two weeks ago a friend of mine showed them to me and by now I can't stop listening to them.

That It-Girl Alexa Chung. I noticed her in 10000 fashion magazines and always thought "Oh gosh, why don't I have that gorgeous style?"

Seriously, it's perfect. And it is so inspiring! If I were stylish I'd have that style ;)

Well, obviously the british fashion lable Mulberry (which I adoreby the way!) liked her, too. They even named a bag after her! And this bag is the thing I desire.

I just NEED to have it!

Klickt HIER und seht eine der besten Filmszenen, die jemals gedreht wurden.

Es ist die Strand Szene aus dem von mir vorher schon hochgelobten Film Abbitte. Die ganze Szene ist ein One Shot, sprich: die mehr als 5 Minuten am Strand von Dünkirchen wurden in einem Durch gedreht. Und es passt alles. Die Farben, das Licht, die Musik!, das Timing der vielen vielen Darsteller.

In meinen Augen ist diese Szene einfach perfekt.

Schaut sie euch an. Es lohnt sich. Genau genommen ist der ganze Film perfekt. Also schaut euch am besten den ganzen Film an. Die Szene ist im Zusammenhang übrigens sehr tragisch.

P.S. Der You Tube Nutzer, der dieses Video hochgeladen hat hat das Einbetten ausgestellt. Interessanterweise hat das so ziemlich jeder, der diese Szene hochgeladen hat... Verschwörung!

In ein paar Wochen ist der Kursarbeitenmarathon vorbei und dann wird vielleicht alles erst mal besser.

Ein wunderbarer Tag war es. Die Buchmesse in Frankfurt ist ja immer ein Erlebnis, so also auch gestern. Ich habe ein paar Fotos gemacht. Das hier wird ein sehr langer Eintrag mit vielen Bildern. Viel Spaß.

Ein sehr toller Stand! Übrigens, die großen Bücher ganz unten waren Türen.

Das Antiquariat war besonders beeindruckend. Die meisten Bücher dort waren in Vitrinen und Glaskästen. Ich hab da wahnsinnig viele Bilder gemacht, hier ein paar davon!

Die ganzen Cosplayer da haben mich im Großen und Ganzen ziemlich genervt und die meisten waren schlecht. Aber diese Avatar Cosplayerin war einfach fabelhaft!

Simon Jäger. Einer meiner absoluten Lieblings- Synchronsprecher. Und er war da, um...

... mit Oliver Rohrbeck eine Prima Vista Lesung im Glasstudio der ARD zu machen! Ein Highlight, zweifellos. Wie immer, präsentiert von der wunderbaren Lauscherlounge!

In der Mitte zwischen den Hallen ist immer ein Markt mit einigem tollen Zeugs. Ich hätte dort unglaublich viel Geld lassen können. So viele schöne kleine Schätze.

Angekommen in Halle 4.1! Übrigens die beste Halle, in der wir waren... Hier am Stand der Psychothriller GmbH und direkt daneben der der Lauscherlounge. Nachdem wir uns mit Hörbüchern und -spielen eingedeckt hatten, konnte uns der abartig talentierte Ivar Leon Menger (btw Gründer der Psychothriller GmbH) Janicas und meine "Darkside Park" Staffeln signieren und noch kurz plaudern. Ein sehr netter Mensch! Sehr sympathisch.

Das Cover dieses Buchs hat Janica selbst koloriert!

Der beste Stand war allerdings zweifellos der des Hermann Schmidt Verlages Mainz! Aber da standen so viele Menschen drumrum, dass es absolut keinen Sinn machte, dort ein Foto zu machen.

Alles in einem war es mal wieder wunderbar. ich freu mich schon auf nächstes Jahr!

Atonement - Abbitte

Dieser Film ist keine leichte Kost. Das habe ich schon mitbekommen, als ich vor einer Weile die letzten zehn Minuten gesehen habe. Jetzt habe ich endlich den ganzen Film gesehen. Die Bilder, die Farben, die (mehrfach ausgezeichnete) Musik, die Schauspieler... Alles passt wunderbar zusammen. Joe Wright führte Regie. Der gute Mann hatte mit Keira Knightley auch schon Stolz & Vorurteil gemacht -übrigens auch einer meiner absoluten Lieblingsfilme- und ich muss sagen, Abbitte hat mich noch mehr von seinen Fähigkeiten überzeugt. Das Haus, in dem der erste Teil des Films spielt, ist ein Traum. Und übrigens, das grüne Kleid von Keira Knightley wurde von der InStyle übrigens zum schönsten Kostüm der Filmgeschichte gewählt. Den zweiten und dritten Platz belegen Marylin Monroe und Audrey Hepburn. Und es ist wirklich traumhaft.

Der Film ist nicht überladen mit Musik und Handlung. Er ist eher leise. Traurig. Nicht einfach. Er geht unter die Haut.

Ich werde das Buch lesen. Irgendwann zumindest.

Ein Kostümverleih ist ein toller Ort. Ich könnte da stundenlang stöbern.

Im Kostümverleih Wolf habe ich heute ein tolles pinkes Kleidchen für unser Chorkonzert geliehen. Für mein Duett aus WICKED mit Janica.

Außerdem hab ich eine neue Tasche. Sie ist eher braun als grün oder grau wie auf dem Bild und ich liebe sie. Von Longchamp. Ich wollte eigentlich eine der klassischen Linie, aber die war nicht in schönen Farben da. Ein anderes mal schaff ich mir die auch noch an.

Sonntag war Familientag. Meine Schwester war mit ihrem Mann und den Kindern da. Wir sind spazieren gegangen, auf den Spielplatz. Gemütlich. Schön.

Eben war ich beim Frisör und die Haare sind etwas dunkler. Momentan vermisse ich noch mein helles blond aber die Farbe ist wirklich sehr schön. Eigentlich sogar genau das, was ich haben wollte! Mal sehen. Genug Buchstaben.

Endlich wieder Gossip Girl. Ich konnte die vierte Staffel einfach kaum erwarten und bin schon von der ersten Folge hellauf begeistert! Es wird offensichtlich immer besser.

Ich hatte Lust, nochmal ein Bild von meinem Claddagh Ring zu machen. Erinnert ihr euch? Er ist aus Amerika. Eigentlich stammen diese Ringe aus Irland, und zwar aus dem kleinen Fischerdörfchen Claddagh. Hier mal die Geschichte von dem Ring (kopiert von Wikipedia):

"Claddagh ist ein kleines Fischerdorf im Westen Irlands (heute eine Vorstadt von Galway) und dort lebte etwa von 1660 bis 1737 Richard Joyce.

Knapp vor seiner geplanten Hochzeit wurde er, als Fischer oder Handelsreisender (hierbei legt sich die Legende nicht fest) von algerischen Piraten entführt und an einen maurischenGoldschmied als Sklave verkauft. Er erlernte schnell das Handwerk seines Herrn und führte es zur Perfektion. Sein Meisterstück dabei war ein Ring, den er in Sehnsucht nach seiner fernen Verlobten schuf und der später als Claddagh Ring bezeichnet werden sollte.

Das als Ring verarbeitete Symbol zeigt zwei Hände, die ein Herz halten und darüber schwebt eine Krone.

Richard hatte Glück, dass William III im Jahr 1689, kurz nach seiner Thronbesteigung eine Vereinbarung mit den Mauren schließen konnte, welche allen dort gefangengehaltenen Briten die Rückkehr ermöglichte.

Obwohl sein früherer Herr ihm seine Tochter samt Geschäftsbeteiligung für sein Bleiben anbot, kehrte Richard in seine Heimat Claddagh zurück und fand dort tatsächlich seine Braut unverheiratet und wartend vor.

Auch wenn – wie bei allen Legenden – erhebliche Zweifel an deren Richtigkeit bestehen, steht doch eines fest:

Die ältesten vorhandenen Claddagh-Ringe tragen die Signierung R.I. und ein Juwelier namens Richard Ioyes (gälisch für Joyce) gilt als nachgewiesen. Die Signatur zeigt überdies noch einen Anker, das Symbol für Hoffnung."

Ist doch schön, oder? Jedenfalls finde ich eben Liebe, Freundschaft und Loyalität, wofür der Ring ja steht, wichtig. Vielleicht sogar am wichtigsten. Mir bedeutet der Ring sehr viel. Das Symbol des Claddagh Rings wäre tatsäschlich auch etwas, was ich mir als Tattoo stechen lassen würde. Naja. Im Falle eines Falles würde ich mich sowieso nicht trauen.

Dieses Bild ist nicht von mir.

Diese Band war der absolute Wahnsinn. Die Rede ist von den einzigartigen und fabelhaften ROYAL REPUBLIC. Das Ganze war in Köln im winzigen Underground. Ich will gar nicht viele Worte verschwenden. Es war unbeschreiblich und genial. Und ich bin DERMAßEN stolz, dabei gewesen zu sein. Und zwar mit Janica, meinem Herz.

Nach dem Konzert. Geschwitzt und absolut glückselig.

Jonas, der Bassist unterschreibt gerade meine Karte. Die anderen drei wurden einfach ganz furchtbar bedrängt von Menschen. Übrigens alle vier ganz abartig attraktiv.

Dieses Buch hat mir den Verstand geraubt.

Wirklich, ich habe nicht dieses Buch verschlungen, sondern es mich! Ich will euch nicht spoilern, falls ihr es noch lesen wollt.

Aber wenn ihr Peter Pan mögt und nicht zu zart besaitet seid, dann lest dieses Buch. Lasst euch von Peter einlullen wie ich und jeder andere auch.

Ich war vollkommen verwirrt und sogar etwas traurig, als es vorbei war. Von mir aus hätte diese Geschichte niemals enden müssen.

Holland war übrigens sehr schön. Ich bin zwar jetzt krank (und das nicht zu knapp...) aber es war trotz allem ein wundervolles Wochenende. Danke euch Idioten dafür!

Fragile Things

Ein Traumhaftes Buch. "Zerbrechliche Dinge - Geschichten und Wunder" von Neil Gaiman. Das Buch besteht aus vielen Kurzgeschichten. Die einen makaber, die anderen traurig, wieder andere wunderschön oder niedlich! Und es ist sogar eine H.P. Lovecraft-angehauchte Geschichte dabei. das hat mich natürlich besonders gefreut. Ein perfekter Mix. Das Buch ist mein Liebling geworden. Ich werde mir bei Gelegenheit auch die originale englische Version bestellen, aber vorher hab ich mir (auf Empfehlung eines gewissen Monos ;) ) noch ein anderes Buch bestellt. Dazu mehr, wenn es da ist.

Eigene Bilder kann ich übrigens erst hochladen, wenn mein SD-USB Adapter da ist. Ich hab mein Kabel für die Kamera verloren und das MacBook, so traumhaft es auch ist, hat keinen SD Slot. Nun ja.

Na, hat's jemand erkannt? Wahnscheinlich nicht. Das war das Thema vom "A-Team".

Die 2010 Filmversion hab ich mir am Freitag mit meinem Liebsten angeschaut und ich muss sagen, er war ziemlich cool! Wahnsinnig witzig und dabei noch hübsch anzusehen. Interessant war auch, dass der Film quasi die Vorgeschichte des A-Teams beschreibt, wie man es aus der alten Serie kennt.

Erwähnensert find ich Liam Neeson, der hier als John "Hannibal" Smith zu sehen war. Mal abgesehen davon, dass dieser Mann sowieso sehr sympathisch ist, überzeugt er auf der ganzen Linie

Und naja... Bradley Cooper -hier als Templeton "Faceman" Peck- hat mich jede einzelne Sekunde vollkommen in Wallungen versetzt. Alter Schwede. What a fucking handsome guy!

There we are. Six weeks are over.

Ich kann einfach keine Begeisterung dafür aufbringen, wieder in die Schule zu gehen. Es ist sicherlich schön, alle wieder zu sehen. Und es ist nicht mal ein ganzes Schuljahr, was mich erwartet. Aber es wird anstrengend. Abitur ist nunmal anstrengend.

Wir werden sehen.

Ich habe mich für einen Job und ein Praktikum beworben. Ich werde berichten, was sich ergibt.

Mein Objekt der Begierde ist übrigens das hier:

Die neue Spiegelreflex von Canon. Soll eine sehr gute Einsteiger Spiegelreflex Kamera sein, einfach rundum ein Traum. Im Weg steht hier leider nur der Kostenpunkt. Ich hoffe, dass ich besagten Job bekomme, damit ich das Geld für die Kamera zusammensparen kann.

Was euch wahrscheinlich interessieren wird, ist, dass sich der Berufswunsch Fotografin ziemlich gefestigt hat. Das ist etwas, was ich kann und was mir Spaß macht. (Das neue Bild im Header ist auch von mir ;)) Was das betrifft werde ich euch natürlich auf dem Laufenden halten.

California! I love this state. The weather is awesome for it's not too hot but still sunny. It's really like you would expect bit to be. With palm trees on the street, the ocean and everything. Karl and I stay here withmy cousin Mike, his girlfriend Noelani and their crazy dog Foxy Brown who likes to eat my pants, my shoes and my feet. They live in a sweet little house with a huge palmtree in front of it. San Diego is awesome. It's very chilled and nice and beautiful. And so far I've seen the most beautiful and styliszh people here (yes here, not NY) which surprised me.
Yesterday we had dinner in some Mexican restaurant and today we'll have BBQ.
I was shopping in a Mall called Fashion Valley. It's a little bit like the City Galerie in Siegen, only waaayyy bigger and Open Air. Awesome.
Than we had lunch in Little Italy.
Tomorrow is beach time!

Yes, it's really hot here. And yes, a little rain is awesome. But yesterdayit rained so much that the street turned into a river. You'll see it on the photos.
Before this apocalypse we were at the Seven Falls! It was very nice. There were plenty of chipmunks! Awesome.
And today we saw the huge Royal Gorge Bridge which was pretty amazing.
Karl got me a wonderful Claddagh ring today! It's an old irish sign for love, friendship and loyalty.

We're in Colorado! Saturday morning we left lovely New York City and arrived in Colorado Springs where we are visiting my aunt Lu, my uncle Charlie and two days my cousin Sonja and her boyfriend Jason.
It's awesome! On Saturday we went to the movies to watch "Inception" which was AWESOME! Well yesterday we were at the Garden of the Gods and today we went up 14100 feet on Pikes Peak. That was amazing. The view up there is so wonderful.
By the way, I am making a lot of pictures of clouds. I got the feeling that the clouds in America are more beautiful than in Germany. Well, whatever.

I don't wanna leave. We had awesome last three days in Manhattan (and maybe an hour in Brooklyn which was pretty awesome) with a lot of shopping (A&F, Topshop, Urban Outfitters, Victoria's Secret, American Apparel, Macy's...). I could have spent 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 Dollars because there were so many shops with beautiful things. But there are still three citys left and I cannot spend my whole money in New York.
Yesterday I finally met Elle. That was very very nice for she is such a cute and pretty person.

Here are some photos again. I took a loooooot more but they are way too much to show.

Finally our gorgeous trip started and I already took some nice pictures.
I'll show you some of them which I took yesterday and today.
It's pretty hot here in NY but I love it anyway.

We've landed! And I really look like 8 hours flight. Like crap. Or even worse. Unlike Karl who looks as always.

Dore's house at Baker Place.We needed one and a half hour to get there from JFK airport because aur taxi driver did not know how to get there at all. That was funny.

We had diner at King's Arms. After that we just sat in front of Dore's house. It was warm but not too hot which was pretty awesome.

Faces like crap. Lovely crap, for sure.

Day two. This is the view from the Staten Island Ferry which takes us from Staten Island to Manhattan. I was getting so excited when I saw that. We really walked from Lower Manhatten
to Central Park, just straight up the Broadway and 5th Avenue. I just bought some nice clothes at Topshop and lovely shoes.

Nice and interesting looking building.

Chilling in some Starbucks while it was raining. I've never seen so many Starbucks in my whole life. There is like every 500m one. Seriously.

That was where Broadway and 5th cross. I'm wearing a dress by Bershka, socks by American Apparel, shoes by Bass and a bag by Liebeskind Berlin.

That white thing behind Karl is actually the library! Unfortunately I could not take a photo of it where you can see its beauty. It's where Carry and Big first wanted to get married in the Sex and the City movie.

He wanted me to take that photo. It had something to do with Ghostbusters.

Heute sind echt 30°C. Unglaublich heiß. Aber gut!
Gestern haben unsere Jungs die Inselaffen ganz schön gekonnt vom Platz geballert. GO, SCHLAND! :)
Jedenfalls war die ganze letzte Woche Projektwoche, weil meine Schule 100jähriges Jubiläum hat und anlässlich dessen gab's Donnerstag und Freitag eine Revue, bei der ich auch gesungen hab. Es hat wahnsinnig Spaß gemacht. Vielleicht folgen hier irgendwann mal Bilder und Videos.

Endlich, Freunde. Endlich habe ich mir mal vernünftig die Nägel machen lassen. Nichts Spektakuläres. Einfach French mit einem milchigen weiß. Aber dennoch bin ich absolut begeistert.

Wer die Nummer der Dame haben möchte, die meine Hände verschönert hat, der melde sich doch einfach bei mir. Sie ist sehr zu empfehlen!

Im Auto höre ich momentan Jennifer Rostock's Album "Der Film". Ziemlich tolle CD. Besonders "Nenn mich nicht Jenny". Ich liebe dieses Lied.

Übrigens will ich unbedingt das neue Apfel Telefon haben. Das iPhone 4 überzeugt mich dermaßen... Ich muss mal nachschauen, ob zufällig dieses Jahr mein vertrag abläuft. Und dann wird das angeschafft. In weiß! Weil ich weiß nunmal liebe.

Es kann so viele tolle neue Sachen! Ich will's haben.

Übrigens ist das Foto ganz oben so unscharf, weil es mit meinem iPhone 3Gs gemacht wurde. Und ich trage Shirt+Jeggins by H&M, Herzchenbrille aus Paris und Ballerinas von Buffalo.

Es war sehr warm dieses Wochenende. Das war wunderbar.
Gut, dass ich MTV die letzten Tage vermieden habe. Zu viel Rock am Ring hätte mich in den Wahnsinn getrieben.

Gestern hab ich "Wenn Träume fliegen lernen" gesehen. Oh, wie wundervoll dieser Film ist. Ich bin völlig verliebt. Johnny ist mal wieder Meister seiner selbst und spielt James M. Barry ganz fabelhaft. Und Kate Winslet war wie immer zauberhaft. Einfach traumhaft.

So.
Und jetzt habe ich Lust auf Erdbeerkuchen.

... Ich hab ewig nichts mehr geschrieben. Hab nicht so die Zeit momentan.
Aber hier ein paar Fakten:

Ich bin endlich 18 und das ist ganz traumhaft.

Seit Donnerstag sind alle Kursarbeiten der MSS12 rum und das ist ebenfalls ganz traumhaft.

Ich bin krank und das nervt.

Letzen Montag Prince of Persia geschaut. War ein guter Film. Mit schöner Musik und schönen Menschen. Und mit guten Schauspielern.

Den Mittwoch drauf war ich in der Vorpremiere von Sex and the City 2. War auch ganz hübsch. Ganz anders als der erste. Mehr Frauenfilmkinokomödie als typisch SATC, was nicht bedeutet, dass er schlecht war.

Gestern war ich in Köln im ARTheater. Dort war eine Prima Vista Lesung der fabelhaften Lauscherlounge. David Nathan (spricht unter anderem Johnny Depp a.k.a. der schönste Mann der Welt) und Simon Jäger (spricht unter anderem Heath Ledger a.k.a. einer der schönsten toten Männer der Welt) lasen das, was man ihnen gab, auch wenn es noch so banane war. Abgesehen davon waren die beiden voll auf Rotwein. Das war einer der lustigsten, tollsten Abende I've ever had. Traumhaft. Und der "Chef" Oliver Rohrbeck war auch vertreten.

And last but not least:

Jaaa, Freunde, ich war gestern auf meinem ersten Poetry Slam. Und ich habe nur ein Wort:
AWESOME!
Ich bin ja prinzipiell begeistert von Menschen, die gut reden können. Und diese Abend war einfach voll von fabulösen Wortneuschöpfungen, wahnwitzigen Satzstellungen und einfach schön klingenden Worten. So was sollte jeder mal gemacht haben.Ich hoffe, ich werde auch noch einige sehen!

Ich war Frau F. sehr dankbar, dass sie mir ihre grüne Mütze geliehen hat denn my hair looked like crap. Und ich liebe sie. Diese grüne Mütze ist ein Traum. Ich will auch eine grüne Mütze haben!

Und ja, ich trage eine Brille. Sogar meine eigene. Ich brauch nämlich seit neustem für die Ferne eine Brille. Mir gefällt sie ziemlich gut und deswegen stört's mich null!
Das Modell ist die New Wayfarer. Sie ist außen Avana in einem schönen braun (das ist so der Opa-Hornbrillen-Farbton) und innen das ganze in cremig bis weiß.

Wie ihr wohl bemerkt hat, hat mein Blog wieder einen neuen Namen! Fräulein Polaroid lautet der. Ich bin ein großer Fan von Polaroid Kameras. Sie sind kultig und halten Augenblicke besser fest wie nichts anderes. Das möchte ich auch können. Egal, ob durch Bild oder Wort.

Ja, das sagt's auch schon. Ich liebe Shakespeare. Allein seine Sonette, Romeo&Julia... Tja, da kam das Filmchen "Shakespeare in Love", den wir in Englisch geschaut haben. Er ist traumhaft. Ich hab ihn mir gleich bestellt und gestern mal ganz genschaut. Da flossen am Ende ganz schön die Tränen.
Diese wahnsinnige Liebe zwischen Will (Joseph Fiennes) und Viola (Gwyneth Paltrow) ist einfach wunderbar anzuschauen. Die 7 Oscars sind verdient! Besonders der für die wunderschöne Gwyneth Paltrow und der für die Musik. Und dank Geoffrey Rush ist er auch noch lustig! Also, meine Lieben, wenn ihr ihn noch nicht gesehen habt, in jedem Fall anschauen! Glücklicherweise lesen wir jetzt auch Shakespeare in Englisch. Macbeth. Ich bin gespannt.

Meine Eltern haben mir ein hübsches Kleid von MANGO mitgebracht. Seht's euch an!

Passt übrigens auch äußerst gut zu meinen wundervollen Fiorentinis. ;)

Nun gut, und nun werde ich eine DVD schauen. Shakespeare in Love zum Beispiel.

Neulich war ich bei der Schlappenverkäuferin meines Vertrauens... Ich hab ganz dringen schöne Boots für dieses Jahr gesucht... Bisschen rustikal. Auf unpassende Art und Weise zu allem passend. Und da sagte sie mir, dass sie jetzt erst die "Eternity" von Fiorentini+Baker bestellt hat und mir welche zurück legt. Just eine Woche später lese ich in einer Modezeitschrift (ich hab vergessen, welche, tippe aber auf InStyle) von exakt diesen Boots! Tja, dann war ich noch euphorischer.
Heute waren sie da.Oh. Mein. Gott. Diese Boots sind ein einziger Traum! Seht selbst!

Diese beiden hab ich in Monmartre geknipst. Ich fand sie so unglaublich süß. Wir sind die Straße, in der sie standen, ein paar mal auf und ab gegangen und sie standen die ganze Zeit da, haben sich in die Augen gesehen, geküsst oder sich einfach in den Armen gelegen.
Einfach schön war das.

Hochkonzentriert. Ich fotografiere die Notre-Dame in Chartres.

Salut, meine Freunde!Oh ja, heute wird's mal deutsch. Mir ist heute einfach absolut nicht nach Englisch.
Frankreich war wunderbar! Das Schlafen in diesem "Hotel" war zwar nicht ganz so leicht und ich habe meinen Liebsten wahnsinnig vermisst, aber dennoch war's super!Mittwoch sind wir gleich zum Eiffelturm gefahren und haben uns kurz die Stadt angeschaut.
Ist er nicht hübsch? Oh ja, das ist er. Riesig und toll.

Donnerstag waren wir in Chartres, einer wunderschönen, alten Stadt ca 70 km von Paris entfernt. Da steht auch eine Kirche mit Namen Notre-Dame! Und ich muss sagen, die ist einfach wesentlich beeindruckender als unsere Dame in Paris. Riesig, eindrucksvoll, detailreich, traumhaft.Wirklich beeindruckend.

Freitag haben wir dann Jekyll&Hyde aufgeführt. Ich glaube, die Franzosen fanden's gut! Und Samstag haben wir Paris leer gekauft.

Ich denke, in den nächsten Tagen werden noch ein paar Bilder folgen, aber ich bin heute leider zu faul, um die zu posten.

It's totally H&M again. Top, vest, tutu skirt. This necklace was a gift from my sister for my last birthday! :)

Well, that is not entirely true for I'm going to Paris next Wednesday :) I am already very excited.
I finally got holidays and I am so glad about that. School really sucks at the moment and I am just happy that I don't have to see it for two weeks.
Last Friday, Janica and I went shopping! I took a picture in a cabin in C&A.

The blazer is by H&M, the striped shirt as well. I wear my favorite brown leather lite chucks by Converse.. again :D The bag's by L.Credi.
Oh and I wear these wonderful glasses by Dolce&Gabbana. They are Janica's ones but I love them! And I can see better when I wear them which is kind of scary.

I bought these wonderful sun glasses which I love to death.

I am so glad it's finally Friday.

I look very lazy and to be honest, I am. Especially today! And actually I hate people who wear jogging pants and call it more stylish than comfortable but I liked my Billabong pants together with that nice ZARA cardigan.

I think I'm gonna eat something now. We'll have a funny wii-night. It's gonna be fun. Maybe I'll post some pictures tomorrow.
